Welcome to The Kennel

The Origin: The Crimson Lotus Sessions
Before "The Kennel" was a fortress, it was a damp, forgotten pocket of the under-levels where the acoustics were punishingly perfect.
This is where the Crimson Lotus—a small, underground collective of sonic outcasts—first started "jamming."
They didn't have instruments in the traditional sense. They had scavenged pipe-lengths, hydraulic resonators, and sheets of corrugated steel.
Following the philosophy Ashkeeper Rho instilled in Mayne, they treated every structural failure in the city as a potential note.
The Crimson Lotus sessions weren't about harmony; they were about resonance. They sought out the spots where the city's structural stress sounded like a bass drop.
When they played, the vibrations were so intense they would knock dust from the ceiling and make the very rebar in the walls shiver.
This was the birth of the "Doggz" sound: raw, industrial, and heavy enough to rattle your teeth.

The Evolution: Iron and Bone
As the years passed, the Crimson Lotus sessions grew from a secret rhythm circle into the legendary Metalfest: Iron and Bone.

The Concept: Iron represents the salvaged tech, the scrap-metal instruments, and the cold, unyielding industrial reality of their world.
Bone represents the survival—the blood, the grit, and the human spirit that refuses to be silenced by the decay.

The Venue: They took over The Kennel, a massive, cavernous transit hub that had been abandoned when the upper-levels shifted.
It became the permanent home for the festival. Its natural concrete curvature amplifies sound in a way that mimics the echo of the Whisper Plate, turning the entire arena into a massive amplifier.

The Kennel: Where the Sound Lives
Within The Doggz Houze, The Kennel serves as the ultimate stage. It is the only place in the city where you can hear the "Coded Thunder" that Rho taught Mayne to summon.

Atmosphere: It is dark, illuminated only by intermittent, flickering red emergency lights (the crimson hue of the Lotus). The floor is reinforced steel, vibrating with every beat.

The Ritual: Every year at Metalfest, the opening act isn't a song—it’s the Call of the Plate.
A single, designated performer hits the original Whisper Plate (now mounted at the center of the stage) three times to open the festival.

When that sound hits the acoustics of The Kennel, the crowd doesn't cheer; they vibrate.
It’s a moment of collective defiance—a reminder that in a city designed to crush them, they have the power to make the ruins sing.
